    The Ariel Atom

Built by TMI Autotech, based in Somerset, England. It had no roof, no windows, and a very small windshield. At one time it was the third fastest accelerating car in the world, moving from 0-60 in 2.89 seconds.

  • 2014 McLaren P1

The first hybrid supercar combines gasoline and electric power, but still obtains a combined 903 hp with 664 lb-ft of torque with 727 hp from the gas engine and 176 from the electric engine. After driving 6.3 miles, the car becomes an electric vehicle. It has the capacity to jump from 0-62 mph in three seconds and gets an extra push from its rear wheels with its 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

The 2001 Blastolene Special “Crystal Tank Car”

Built with a M47 Patton tank engine, a Continental AV 1790 5B, this street-legal vehicle was built by a glass artist named Randy Grubb in Grants Pass, Oregon. It housed an engine that weighed 9,500 pounds and operated at 810bhp, brake horsepower or the power that actually reaches the wheels. Made with a strikingly ornate aluminum body worthy of the title, “crystal tan,” Jay Leno bought it for $125,000.
